Empire Home Solutions isn’t just another contractor claiming to “serve” Mt. Orab — our office is at 16493 Bodman Rd, right here in the village. Every deck, roof, basement, gutter, siding, and concrete project we build for our neighbors starts a short drive from where the crew and equipment already live. That means same-week consultations, faster warranty response, and a team that already knows the Village of Mt. Orab’s zoning process and Brown County’s building department firsthand. Because this is home, not a satellite territory, we treat every Mt. Orab project like it’s down the street — because it is. Every project carries our lifetime craftsmanship warranty.

Rural and semi-rural Brown County properties bring conditions suburban lots don’t. Here’s when to call.
Recognize any of these? Being your local, based-here contractor is exactly what makes these easier.
We know the two-step Village-then-County process cold, because it’s our own. Here is how it runs.
1. Site Consultation
First, we visit — often the same week, since we’re not dispatching a crew from across the metro.
2. Village Zoning Permit
Next, Mt. Orab requires a zoning permit for decks, additions, fences, sheds, pools, and driveway changes before the county building permit. Because zoning permits are valid for up to six months, we time it correctly with your build.
3. Brown County Building Permit
Then, once the village zoning permit is issued, we submit to the Brown County Building Department in Georgetown for the building permit and inspections.
4. Fixed-Price Quote
After that, you get one number, in writing, before construction begins.
5. Construction & Final Inspections
Finally, we build to code and schedule village and county inspections as your project requires.
Brown County’s more open, agricultural landscape means less tree-canopy shade than denser Cincinnati suburbs, but more direct wind exposure — a real factor we account for in shingle and ridge-cap selection.
Rural Mt. Orab homes on well systems often have basement mechanical rooms built around pressure tanks and different plumbing layouts than municipally-serviced suburban homes. We finish and waterproof around them rather than assuming them away.
A large share of our Mt. Orab concrete work is gravel-to-concrete driveway conversions and pole-barn or outbuilding pads, sized for rural property use rather than a standard suburban footprint.
When a Mt. Orab home needs more space, we build additions and manage full remodels as your single general contractor handling the village zoning and county permit steps from the start.
The same coverage on a Mt. Orab project as anywhere else, just with a shorter drive.
Village zoning then Brown County building permit, which we navigate for our own community regularly.
We plan around well/septic, open wind exposure, and acreage grading, not a suburban-lot standard.
Every Mt. Orab project carries the same lifetime coverage as our work across the region.
